MPPC is Si photon-counting device built up of multiple avalanchephotodiode (APD) pixels connected in parallel . I want to combine double MPPC detector to detect double photon coincidence event. The two modules are running independently in my design , and when picking up data, I can combine the A-side and B-side events to obtain the position of radiation source. The MPPC has 8*8 channels whose size is 2mm*2mm while the scintillator size is 1mm*1mm, which means one MPPC pixel connects 4 scintillator pixels for high resolution double-side readout. What’s more, I plan to use dynamic TOT method for filtering the original signal. The DTOT method has shown its ability in improving linearity and count rate. I want to increase the current data processing speed by improving current DTOT design. I will corporate with another member in our lab to finish this task. In this case, I can create a module with 2mm resolution.
