The explorations of dissipative soliton (DS) dynamics in ultrafast fiber lasers have demonstrated remarkable multi-soliton self-organization patterns such as soliton molecules, soliton rain, soliton liquids, noise-like pulse, harmonic mode-locking etc. Especially, the vector dissipative solitons (VDSs), due to their multiple pulse instability, result in bound states of DSs with distinct states of polarization (SOP). These VDS states exhibit fast and slow periodic switching between fixed SOPs and SOP procession, which is particularly beneficial for polarization multiplexed fiber laser telecommunications. We report experimentally the polarization-resolved dynamics of an incoherent soliton liquid (SL) state along with the observation of polarization-specific sporadic rogue waves.
