To handle the high data rate transmission in optical fibre communication, optical frequency comb (OFC) plays a crucial role. OFC is series of spectral components which is characterized by adjacent spacing between the frequency comb lines. OFC rapidly meet the bandwidth requirement by replacing the wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) in which several laser sources has been replaced by single light source. There are various approaches available to generate OFC such as mode locked laser, electro optic method etc. In this manuscript OFC is generated by employing highly nonlinear optical fibre in which flat and broad optical spectrum is obtained with 45 frequency comb lines with 3dB maximum power deviation. It has numerous applications such as frequency metrology, RF photonics, telecommunication as well as multichannel source.
