THz emission generated from laser plasma formed by the focusing of two-color femtosecond pulses offers broad emission spectra and relatively high THz peak values, making it a widely used technique. Pulse chirp plays a crucial role in optimizing THz fields. Previous research explored the influence of chirp on THz intensity, revealing a non-monotonic relationship. This study expands on previous findings by examining the combined effect of phase shift and chirp on generation efficiency and THz shape variation. The experimental setup involves a Spitfire model laser system, delivering a 35 fs infrared pulse with a wavelength of 800 nm, a repetition rate of 1 kHz, and a maximum energy of 4 mJ. By adjusting the position of the BBO crystal and detuning the compressor's diffraction grating, the phase shift and chirp variation are manipulated. The results demonstrate the clear dependence of chirp optimization on the phase shift and its impact on THz signal shape. Specifically, the optimal chirp value depends on the BBO crystal's position and the desired THz signal shape. These findings provide valuable insights for optimizing THz field properties.
