Sectional aerosol model that handles changes in particle size distribution due to agglomeration and removal was introduced into the Boiling and Drying-out accident analysis code FATE, and validation was conducted using experimental analysis (ABCOVE, AHMED) and code-to-code comparison (MAEROS). The introduction of the model allows a more realistic assessment of aerosol LPFs during Boiling and Drying-out accidents.
