Radiochromic gel dosimeters have been attracting as multidimensional and simpler dosimeters for quality assurance in boron neutron capture therapy. The feasibility of temporal dose estimation was studied. Experiments were performed using Co-60 gamma-ray source. Plate-shaped gel dosimeters of 10x10x0.5 cm3 were prepared, stacked, and placed in a water phantom of 20x20x20 cm3. The color change of the gel dosimeters during irradiation was recorded using a CMOS camera. The spatial averaged dose rate of the first dosimeter layer estimated from the color change rate was close to the dose rate on the front surface of the phantom calculated from the gamma-ray source intensity. No dose increase due to chemical reaction delay was observed after irradiation.
