To contribute to the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, we are developing non-destructive analytical methods to quantify the amount of nuclear fuel material contained in objects retrieved from the reactor containment vessel. In this presentation, we report on the development of the Active Neutron Method, focusing on one of its candidates, the Fast Fission neutron Coincidence Counting (FFCC) method.
