Welcome Reception, Excursion, and Symposium Dinner

Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception is planned for the evening of Sunday, September 14, 2025.

It will be held on the 1st floor of the symposium venue, Kunibiki Messe.

All participants are welcome to join the reception free of charge.

Excursion

A Social and cultural program at Izumo Taisya Shrine, including lunch at local winery, as well as a symposium dinner at Matsue Vogel Park, is planned for the afternoon of Thursday, September 18, 2025.

As part of the conference, participants will have the opportunity to join an excursion to Izumo Taisya Shrine, one of the oldest and most important Shinto shrines in Japan, known as the sacred place of enmusubi (the binding of fates or relationships), including lunch in local winery, and a sympozium dinner at Matsue Vogel Park, a botanical and bird-themed park located within the city. The park allows visitors to interact with seasonal flowers and exotic birds year-round, and enjoy entertaining events such as penguin walks and owl shows.

Optional small tours are also planned for accompanying persons.

 

Symposium Dinner

Date: Thursday, September 18, 2025
Venue: Matsue Vogel Park

Program Highlights:

1. Cultural Performance

  • Iwami Kagura: A traditional performing art of the Iwami region
  • Brief introduction to its history and cultural significance
  • Photo opportunities will be available during the performance.

2. Award Ceremony

  • Excellent Student Presentation Awards

Food and Drinks:

  • Dinner will be provided by Hotel Ichibata Catering, a renowned hotel in Matsue.

Transportation to the veneu:

  • For Excursion participants

Excursion participants will be taken directly to the dinner venue by the return tour bus.

  • For participants NOT joining the excursion 

Please take the Ichibata Electric Railway.

    • Departure: Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station at 16:45
    • Arrival: Matsue Vogel Park Station at 17:20
  • Return Transportation

After the dinner, tour buses will take all participants back to the Matsue city center.
