The 7th Annual Meeting of The eDNA Society

Visa Information

Please refer to the list of the countries that have the visa exemption agreement with Japan via the following link (https://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/short/novisa.html). If your country is included in the list, you usually do not need to apply for a visa to Japan.

If you need an invitation letter for your visa, follow the instructions below.

  1. Complete the registration first. The invitation letter and documents for your visa will be issued after the registration.
  2. Your name must be spelled as inscribed on your passport. Any differences may cause a delay and/or denial of your visa.
  3. Please send a REQUEST FORM FOR VISA DOCUMENTS to the secretariat (7th.edna+visa[at]gmail.com) via email. Click here for the REQUEST FORM.
  4. Note that the Meeting Committee cannot help visa process beyond providing the documents for your visa. Should your application be denied, the Meeting Committee cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will the Meeting Committee engage in discussion or correspondence with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant.
  5. Since it may take time to obtain visa, please register as early as possible to make sure you have enough time.
