【ハイライト講演】背弧海盆形成メカニズムは現在も議論がなされている最中で、リフティングを引き起こすメカニズムに関しては未だに結論が得られていない。発表者である大坪氏は断続的なリフティング状態にある沖縄トラフ南部に着目し、琉球弧の陸上・海域の地質調査及び研究を主導している。本講演では、大坪氏が主席研究員を務めた学術研究船「白鳳丸」で実施した2研究航海での成果をご発表頂く。（ハイライト講演とは．．．）
