This paper examined the effects of educational interventions on first-year students with difficulties earning credits. They received an orientation that aimed to improve their self-regulated learning skills and formative feedback on their learning throughout the semester. The results revealed that these interventions increased the participants’ self-regulated learning and improved their performance in the final tests.
