This study examines the optimal timing for introducing generative AI in Project-Based Learning (15 weeks) with 21 students. Although intervening right after the motivation peak (weeks 10–11) was reasonable, students still preferred easily applicable perspectives over unfamiliar ones. This suggests that controlling the intervention timing alone is insufficient; a facilitation process to help students interpret and integrate diverse viewpoints is essential.
