Following the Great East Earthquake that occurred on 11th March 2011, the Zero Project was initiated in Utsunomiya University focused on developing human resources through collaborative programs with partner institutions within its technical sector. During disaster, when victims are evacuated at the relief center, one of the needs is to have good furniture for relaxation. A good design bench can promote high quality of living with temperature-adjustment functions.
