In recent years, social interest in ensuring food safety has grown, and the importance of risk management for harmful substances and food additives contained in food has increased. This symposium will focus on the various risk factors related to foods and will discuss the latest risk management methods and their challenges from various angles. Specifically, we will focus on pyrrolizidine alkaloids as an international trend in risk management for natural plant toxins and provide an overview of efforts in various countries. In addition to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which is attracting increasing public attention, the experts will provide scientific knowledge and the current state of risk management measures on a variety of topics, including veterinary drug residues, pesticide residues, and food additives. measures. Furthermore, we hope to discuss the future direction of risk management with participants and explore more effective ways of ensuring food safety.
