The injection-seeded terahertz parametric generator (is-TPG) is a high-power terahertz wave source with frequency tunability ranging from 0.4 to 5.0 THz. In addition to generation, it also enables terahertz wave detection (parametric detection) through the reverse process, making it a promising technology for various imaging applications. However, terahertz imaging using is-TPG commonly relies on raster scanning, which presents the challenge of long measurement times. In this study, we conducted a fundamental investigation of a terahertz scanner applying terahertz parametric detection, aiming for high-speed terahertz imaging. As a result, the constructed scanner system successfully enabled one-scan imaging of metal samples approximately 10 mm in size with millimeter-order resolution.
