Optical methods offer unique advantages for measuring sound fields, including non-invasiveness, high spatial resolution, and the ability to access complex acoustic environments. Over the past decade, advances in acousto-optic sensing have enabled the visualization and reconstruction of sound fields using light. In parallel, recent developments in deep learning have opened new possibilities for enhancing optical sound field measurements. By incorporating data-driven priors and physics-informed approaches, neural networks have demonstrated significantly improved performance over conventional methods. This talk will provide an overview of recent advances in optical imaging of sound fields, with a focus on both experimental techniques and signal processing methods. By bridging optical sensing, acoustics, and deep learning, these approaches offer a promising pathway toward non-contact, high-resolution measurement tools for scientific and industrial applications.
