Ferrimagnetic Mn4N films with an antiperovskite structure have attracted attention as candidates for magnetic switching devices due to their perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and the presence of magnetic compensation (MC) composition. Previously, we successfully grew Mn4−xGaxN thin films as a potential MC material. However, due to the distinct XMCD spectral features that differ from those of known MC materials, it was difficult to confirm the presence of an MC composition. In this work, we deposited Mn4−xGaxN films and bilayers with Mn<s>4</s>N, and successfully demonstrated the existence of the MC composition through magnetization and XMCD measurements.
