Conventional THz-TDS systems require a mechanical delay stage, leading to a trade-off between measurement time and frequency resolution.
To address this issue, dual-comb spectroscopy using two optical sources has been established, but the need for high-precision control of both sources results in a large and complex overall system.
In contrast, this study employs a fully polarization-maintaining, shared-cavity dual-comb fiber laser as the light source, eliminating the need for a control system and aiming to miniaturize the entire setup.
