Understanding light transport in multilayered media is essential for enhancing imaging techniques in complex biological and material samples. This study employs the Monte Carlo (MC) method to simulate photon propagation in multilayered, absorbing media, with a focus on comparing the effects of structured versus unstructured laser illumination. The investigation explores how the spatial characteristics of incident light influence scattering and absorption behaviors at various depths. Simulation results reveal that structured laser light demonstrates improved localization and penetration, offering greater potential for enhancing optical imaging performance in layered media. These findings suggest that structured illumination can provide a more effective strategy for bioimaging applications where depth-resolved information is critical.
