Based on the plant walkdown data and the safety analysis results, an analysis model was constructed using GOTHIC code to evaluate hydrogen behavior in a ceiling cavity on lower floors of the reactor building in the event of a hydrogen leak. The GOTHIC model was designed including not only the lower floor but also the atrium space and the top operating floor so as to allow the gas circulation in the atrium space. Leakage gas condition to the lower floors were set by referring to the safety analysis results. The base case analysis showed that the hydrogen that leaked to the lower floors rose through the atrium space and reached the operating floor, circulating throughout the reactor building.
