【ハイライト講演】地質調査では十全なデータが得られることはそうそうない.必然,限られたデータで解釈することになる.この研究は,不整合で接するように見える火山岩と堆積岩とが単一の層(Formation)を構成する大森層について,高精度の堆積学的研究を行い,みかけ不整合の正体が海進中の侵食に伴ってできた古地形(海食台など)であることを明らかにした.高精度化はデータの限界を拡張する一つの方向性である.(ハイライト講演とは...)
