【ハイライト講演】堀川氏は，海底堆積物等の化学的分析を駆使した古気候・海洋分野の研究で世界的に注目される研究者である．とくに，最近は西南極沖で採取されたIODPコアのネオジム・鉛同位体比を解析から，南極大陸起源物資の供給源変動を復元し，鮮新世における南極氷床の融解条件の解明に取り組んでいる．今大会ではこれらの最新研究成果について講演いただく．（ハイライト講演とは．．．）
