About Self-Presentation System
Oral presenters run their own slides from the podium PC. You cannot present from your own laptop, and files cannot be handed over in the session room — everything goes through the Preview Center, well before you are due to speak.
PowerPoint Presenter View is not available outside the Main Hall. Prepare to speak without seeing your notes on the podium screen.
Before your session — Preview Center
1.Bring your file on a USB drive and upload it
At the Preview Center (Room 104), on the 1st floor of the Main Building. 16:9 slides are recommended. Files cannot be submitted in the session room, so do this in advance — not on your way to the podium.

2.Check that it loads correctly, and collect your QR code
Open your file on a Preview Center PC and make sure it displays as you expect. You will then be given a QR code. This is what starts your slides at the podium, so it must be issued before you go to your session room.

3.Be in your session room 30 minutes before
Arrive at the room with your QR code at least 30 minutes before your presentation is due to start.
At the podium
Each session room podium has a microphone, a desk light, a countdown timer, a QR code reader, a Windows PC, a mouse and a laser pointer.

1.Scan your QR code
Hold the QR code you received at the Preview Center over the reader on the podium.

2.Your presentation starts in slideshow mode
Your slides open full screen. Advance them with the mouse or the laser pointer.

3.Click again to finish
When this screen appears, click once more to end the presentation and release the podium for the next speaker.

Timing
A countdown timer sits on the podium, next to the microphone. Watch the light:
● Greenyour time has started
● Amberfive minutes left
● Redtime is up
Please finish promptly when the red light comes on — sessions run to a shared schedule and the next speaker needs the podium.
The Preview Center is Room 104, on the 1st floor of the Main Building. See the venue map.
