With regard to the “sense of language” described in the Courses of Study, a nationwide survey of Japanese language teachers yielded 238 responses. Analysis of the responses, focusing on the perspective of assessing sense of language, suggested that teachers under the age of 30 may not relate the sense of language in writing to the reader's response.
