The JSEE's Research Committee on Engineering Ethics is developing a positive engineering education program model to foster engineers who have a scientific understanding of the well-being of individuals and of the society, and who can contribute to maintaining and improving that well-being. A proposal to adapt the Well-being Impact Assessment (WIA) developed by the IEEE into this program is discussed.
