Purpose: In this age of drastic changes in industrial structure and values, technical colleges across the country are making various efforts to develop the next generation of science and engineering personnel by strengthening practical skills and problem-solving abilities, acquiring expertise in advanced fields, contributing to regional revitalization, and so on. Through the introduction of these examples of how to develop the strengths of technical college education, the future direction of engineering education and the possibility of its application to university education will be discussed.
