The authors propose “Message Thinking” as an approach for exploring futurability education, in which participants create messages by shifting temporal perspectives (present and future) and social positions (e.g., parent and self). The application to 95 engineering students suggested that this approach promotes reflective thinking through future-oriented perspectives.
