On-site registration will not be available. All participants are required to complete registration and payment in advance through the registration website above.

Abstract Submission and Registration Period:
July 24 (Fri), 12:00 – August 18 (Tue), 12:00 (closed)

  • Participants who are not presenting may register even after 12:00 on August 18.

Late-Breaking Session Abstract Submission Period:
August 25 (Tue), 9:00 – September 1 (Tue), 12:00 (closed)

Payment Period for Registration and Submission Fees:
August 21 (Fri), 12:00 – September 2 (Wed), 12:00 (closed)

  • Participants who are not presenting may complete payment of the registration fee even after 12:00 on September 2.

Information Required for Abstract Submission

  1. Author name(s) and affiliation(s) (Japanese and English; up to 50 authors)
  2. Presentation language (Japanese or English)
  3. Preferred presentation format (Oral or Poster / Poster only)
  4. Preferred session
  5. Japanese title (up to 60 full-width characters; not required if the presentation language is English)
  6. English title (up to 120 half-width characters)
  7. Abstract text (up to 2,000 Japanese characters or 4,000 English characters)
  8. Web link related to the presentation (optional)
  9. Entry for the Student Excellence Presentation Award (optional)
  10. Image file (optional; up to one file, maximum size 1.0 MB; JPEG, JPG, or PNG format)

Procedure for Prospective Members

If you plan to join the Society and wish to register for the meeting, please submit a membership application using the membership application form (click here).

Once you receive an email from the SMOOSY membership system with the subject:

“[The Seismological Society of Japan] Notification of Membership Application Completion”

you will be recognized as a member in the Confit submission system and will be eligible to register and participate in the meeting.
