Ionic liquid additives、Stability of perovskite solar cells
A key barrier to the commercialization of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is their poor environmental stability, particularly under moisture, heat, and light exposure. To address this, we explored ionic liquids (ILs) as additives, focusing on their thermal stability, low volatility, and hydrophobicity. We investigated ILs with diverse cation–anion combinations, particularly 2,4-dichloro-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine (DCPTrz) and 1-butyl-3-methylpyridinium chloride (BMPy Cl), in CsFAMA-based PSCs. IL-treated films showed larger grains and fewer pinholes, indicating effective defect passivation. Stability tests under 45% RH at 26 °C showed IL-modified devices retained ~80% of initial PCE after 90 days, outperforming untreated CsFAMA PSCs. Contact angle analysis confirmed increased hydrophobicity due to IL incorporation. These findings highlight ILs as promising additives for enhancing the long-term stability of PSCs.
