Molecular spintronic devices are attractive owing to the expected long spin diffusion lengths in molecules. Recently, chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) has been observed in the chiral molecules and attractive for the application to the magnetoresistance (MR) devices. Since the MR curve of CISS-based OSVs corresponds to the magnetization curve of magnetic layer, the MR effect is expected to be observed under a low magnetic field by using Co/Pt multilayers with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. In this study, we fabricate Au/S-1,1'-Bi-2-naphthol (BINOL)/[Co/Pt]2 and Au/R-BINOL/[Co/Pt]2 OSVs, and investigate their spin transport properties. As a result, clear MR effects due to CISS are successfully observed in Au/BINOL/[Co/Pt]2 OSVs following the change of the magnetization states of Co/Pt multilayers. The detailed measurement results will be presented in the poster session.
