To develop thermoelectric thin film with high performance, we have managed heat conduction via structure control of materials. We developed epitaxial thin films with group IV element-based low dimensional structures in the unit cell on Si substrates. These thin films with low dimensional structures showed the low thermal conductivity and high thermoelectric power factor coming from the atomic structure control. Here, we will introduce group IV element-based quasi-low materials with controlled atoms, which exhibit high thermoelectric performance based on thermal management.
