Sn-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are low-cost and non-toxic photovoltaics but face challenges against instability. While quasi-2D (q-2D) Sn-based perovskites show better stability than 3D perovskites, reduction of defects is necessary for further improvement of stability. In this study, the effect of methylammonium chloride (MACl) as an additive on the morphology and performance of q-2D Sn-based perovskites was investigated. Comprehensive characterization, including SEM and photovoltaic measurements, highlights the role of MACl in stabilizing these perovskites, offering valuable insights into its impact on film quality and device performance.
