This study redefines beauty in aesthetic medicine as a relational structure shaped by historical, social, and technological forces. While modern beauty standards are increasingly mediated by social media and AI, recent studies have identified standardized facial features associated with idealized “Instagram face,” reinforcing externally driven norms. Drawing on body image, medical ethics, and cultural perspectives, this research proposes “Human-Centered Beauty” grounded in harmony, authenticity, and self-acceptance, and suggests a framework for understanding how individuals maintain a sense of self across diverse forms of bodily intervention.
