Two-step photon upconversion (TPU) has been demonstrated in AlxGa1–xAs-based solar cells. So far, the demonstration of such a phenomenon in all-perovskite-based solar cells has not yet been reported. In this work, we reported the synthesis procedures of CsPbBr3–xClx nanocrystals (NCs) with different Cl molar ratios. Since doping CsPbBr3 NCs with Cl leads to bandgap widening, CsPbBr3–xClx NCs are a good candidate for all-perovskite-based two-step photon upconversion solar cells (TPU-SCs). Interestingly, bifacial TPU-SCs can be fabricated using CsPbBr3–xClx NCs which will allow the intraband transitions, crucial electronic transitions in TPU, regardless of the directions of irradiation.
