Wearable pressure sensors capable of continuous monitoring of vital signs, such as pulse and respiration, have garnered significant attention in recent years. Among diverse materials explored for such applications, piezoelectric polymers are particularly notable due to their flexibility, stability, and easy processability. Piezoelectric polymer nanofibers can be fabricated and aligned using gap electrospinning with an aluminum collector containing holes. In this study, we investigated and compared the piezo-response of two different piezoelectric polymers and discussed the effect of electrospinning parameters on their performance theoretically and experimentally. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between material structure and piezoelectric properties, paving the way for optimized sensor designs for wearable devices.
