To Oral Presenters of General Lectures
Please use your own PC and operate it by yourself to make your presentation. Some lecture rooms have two screen monitors on both sides of the room. Please use the “Laser Pointer” tool for PowerPoint presenters or use a laser pointer that can be displayed on multiple monitors so that the pointer cursor can be displayed on both monitors.
Both HDMI and VGA (15-pin type) connections between the projector at the venue and your computer are acceptable. Some laptops may require a connector, so please do not forget to bring it with you. A preview room will be provided, so please confirm the connection in advance.
1. Each presentation will be 12 minutes long, followed by 2 minutes of discussion. 1 bell rings 2 minutes before the end of the presentation (after 10 minutes), 2 bells after the end of the presentation (after 12 minutes), and 3 bells after the end of the Q&A session (after 14 minutes). Presenters will be given one minute to take turns. Please bring your own PC and connect it to the projector by yourself. We appreciate your cooperation for smooth proceedings.
2. All screens are 16:9 and the projector settings are fixed at 16:9. Therefore, it will be more effective to use materials created in 16:9. Even if the screen is set at 4:3, the margins at both ends will be blacked out due to the height adjustment, but there are no major problems, as the screen will not be stretched to the left or right and will not appear strange.
3. A preview room (Room 154-159, 5th floor, Building 1) will be open from 9:00 to 17:30 on August 27 (Wed.) and 28 (Thu.), and from 9:00 to 12:00 on August 29 (Fri.), so you can check the connection method and preview the presentation (to see if slides are properly displayed and if they work, and to confirm that the screen of the presenter's tool does not appear on the audience's side). Please check the connection method and preview the presentation (e.g., whether the slides are properly projected and whether they work properly, and whether the audience is not set to project the screen of the presenter's tool). Please note that the lecture room of the preview room will be used for the job hunting seminar on the afternoon of the 29th (from 14:15), so it cannot be used as a preview room.
4.We will prepare several notebook PCs (Windows) for troubleshooting. However, since presentation settings such as fonts may change, please use your own PCs or those of your collaborators as much as possible. Please note that no media (USB, etc.) will be provided for transferring data to other PCs.
5. If there are any changes in the presentation procedures, please check the conference homepage for the latest information.
