Imubit’s AI Optimization (AIO) technology brings a transformative approach to real-time optimization in the process industries. Unlike traditional APC/RTO system, AIO learns directly from historical plant data to build a domain-specific AI with first-principles knowledge that continuously recommend setpoints in closed loop to maximize economic performance within operational constraints. We present real-world deployment results where AIO has generated significant margin improvements, and we discuss key challenges in areas such as interpretability, dynamic modeling and offer insights into how modern AI techniques can be applied to industrial-scale optimization problems in a robust, sustainable manner.
