We award young researchers belonging to the Japan Society of Cell Biology and Japanese Society of Developmental Biologists through their excellent research presentations, thereby fostering cell biology and developmental biology researchers and helping them to become independent scientists.
細胞生物学会および発生生物学会に所属する若手研究者（大学院生・ポスドク等）の研究発表を表彰することにより、細胞生物学および発生生物学研究者の育成を図り、独立を助ける。

Members of the societies who are 38 years old (as of April 1, 2025) or younger, and are the first presenter (representative presenter) of a registered abstract for the award. Presenters of scheduled Symposium or Workshop can be considered if they wish.
38歳（2025年4月1日現在）以下の学会員で登録演題の筆頭著者（代表発表者）のうち、賞選考を希望した者。シンポジウムやワークショップ等の予定講演者であっても、希望すれば審査対象となりうる。

Those who wish to be considered for the award should submit their biography, date of birth, and a 2,000 characters self-recommendation (including the results of research that you are presenting, its significance in the field, points of particular importance and the degree of your contribution) at the same time with their presentation abstract via the Internet.
賞選考希望者は演題応募の時に、略歴、生年月日と1,000文字程度の自薦文（含、演題の成果・位置づけ・特筆点・本人の寄与の度合い）を演題と同時にネットから入力する。要旨は英語で記入すること。自薦文は日本語で構わない。

The first round of screening will be conducted based on the materials submitted, and approximately 10 excellent presentation award winners will be selected. The winners of the Excellent Presentation Award for Young Scientist will make presentations at the Selection Committee in the symposium "Best Presentation Award for Young Scientists", which will be held during the conference, and 3 best talks will be selected as Best Presentation Awards for Young Scientists (second round screening). Award winners may also present their work at Symposium or Workshop as invited speakers.
賞選考希望者からの資料を元に第一次審査を行い、約10人の若手優秀発表賞受賞者を選定する。若手優秀発表賞受賞者は、第二次審査として、大会会期中に設けられる若手最優秀発表賞選考会において英語で発表を行う。選考会においては、審査の上、最終的に3名の若手最優秀発表賞受賞者を選出する。尚、若手優秀発表賞受賞者が公募演者としてシンポジウムやワークショップ等でも発表することは妨げない。

The selection committee members will review the Best Presentation Award for Young Scientists who is recommended by the president of the society or conference. 
学会長推薦あるいは大会長推薦を受けた若手最優秀発表賞選考委員会メンバーが審査にあたる。

In the first screening, the novelty, originality, and development of the research, as well as degree of contribution of the applicant to the research will be comprehensively evaluated. In the second round of screening, in addition to the above criteria, a comprehensive evaluation will be made including their presentation ability that allow to attract the cell biology and developmental biology researchers outside of presenter’s fields. Please note that the quality of English will not affect the evaluation.
第一次審査では、研究の新規性、独創性、発展性、研究への貢献度を総合的に評価する。第2次審査では、上記の審査基準に加え、発表者の専門分野以外の細胞生物学・発生生物学の研究者を惹きつけるプレゼンテーション能力も含めて総合的に評価する。なお、英語の巧拙は評価に影響しない。

All young best presenter award winners will be invited to the banquet on the second day of the conference to receive their awards. In addition, 3 winners of the Best Presentation Award for Young Scientists will be announced and will receive a certificate and a prize from the conference.
若手優秀発表賞受賞者は全員大会二日目の懇親会に招待され、表彰される。懇親会においてはさらに若手最優秀発表賞受賞者3名が公表され、学会から賞状と賞品の授与が行われる。
