The Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58thでは、学術変革領域研究(学術支援基盤形成)「先端バイオイメージング支援プラットフォーム(ABiS)」( https://www.nibb.ac.jp/abis/ ) の共催により、ABiS イメージコンテストを開催いたします。奮ってご応募ください。

ABiS イメージコンテスト開催要項

 

１．応募資格は、名古屋で開催される「Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th」に参加登録した方です。

２．応募者は、応募する画像や動画に対して責任をもっていただきます。共同研究などで、画像や動画を撮影した方が異なる場合は、投稿に対して撮影者の承諾をとっていただくと共に、その情報も応募フォームにご記入下さい。

３．オリジナルの画像や動画だけでなく、加工したもの（オリジナルの一部を切り出したものや、早送りの動画など）も受付ます。ただし、すでに出版済で著作権が出版社に帰属する素材と同一のものは応募できません。

４．本コンテストでは、発生生物学・細胞生物学研究に基づくあらゆる画像・動画を対象とし、画像(静止画)部門、動画部門の各部門のグランプリに加え、発生生物学会大会長賞、細胞生物学会大会長賞、ABiS賞の受賞者を決定します。

受賞者には賞状と豪華副賞(グランプリはアマゾンギフト券〇万円！！大会長賞、ABiS賞はアマゾンギフト券△万円！)が授与されます。

５．応募者は２つの部門をあわせて合計最大3つまで応募可能です。

６．それぞれの画像（静止画）、動画について、以下の規定に従い100メガバイト以下のサンプルファイルを応募フォーマットと共に以下のgoogle formで2025年6月13日（金）正午までにお送りください。

 

画像（静止画）ファイル規定：

a.ファイルはTIFF, JPEG, PNG形式のいずれか

b. 可能限り高品質なもの

c. 解像度は300 dpi以上

動画ファイル規定：

a. ファイルはAVI, アニメーションGIF, MP4形式のいずれかで高品質なもの

b. 30秒以内

c. 音声情報は含めない

d. 文字画像情報などを埋め込まない

７． ABiS関係者及びJoint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th担当による一次選考で上位約10件を選出し、応募者に7月4日（金）頃に選考結果を連絡します。

８．選出された約10件については、７月18日（金）ランチョンセミナーにて投影と応募者による1分程度の説明の後、会場の聴衆の投票によって審査を行います。各カテゴリーの受賞者は、ランチョンセミナーの受賞式で発表し表彰します。

９．コンテストの結果は、ABiS、日本発生生物学会、日本細胞生物学会、Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58thのウェブサイト、メーリングリストやその他媒体にて公表させていただくことがあります。

10. 投稿された画像・動画などは、ABiS、発生生物学会、および細胞生物学会の非営利活動のために、そのまま、あるいは加工の上で使用させていただくことがあります。その際には、応募時の所属・氏名で謝辞を付けさせて頂きます。

11. 画像や動画の投稿については、上記ルールを承諾したものとみなします。

The Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th will feature the ABiS Image Contest, co-sponsored by the Advanced Bioimaging Support Platform (ABiS) (https://www.nibb.ac.jp/abis/). We encourage you to participate in this contest.

 

Guidelines for the ABiS Image Contest

 

1. Applicants must be registered to attend the Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th in Nagoya, Japan.

2. Applicants are responsible for the images and videos they submit. If you are collaborating with other persons who took the images or videos, please obtain their consent and provide this information in the entry form.

3. Modified images and videos will be accepted as well as original images and videos. However, we will not accept material that is identical to material already published and copyrighted by the publisher.

4. This contest is open to images based on developmental biology or cell biology research. Grand prizes will be awarded for the Image (Snapshot) and Video categories, as well as the President's Award from the Japanese Society for Developmental Biologists (JSDB) and the Japanese Society for Cell Biology (JSCB) and ABiS Award winners.

The winners will receive a certificate and a luxury special prize (*0,000 JPY Amazon gift certificate for a grand prize! *0,000 JPY Amazon gift certificate for the President’s Award and the ABiS Award!).

5. Entrants may submit up to a total of three items in the two categories.

6. Please submit files of no more than 100 megabytes for each image (snapshot) and video according to the following rules and entry format via the following Google Form by Friday, June 13, 2025, 12:00 noon.

 

Image (snapshot) file:

 a. Files must be in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG format.

 b. Files should be of high quality.

 c. Resolution must be 300 dpi or higher.

Video file:

 a. Files must be in high quality AVI, animated GIF, or MP4 format.

 b. Movie must be 30 seconds or less

 c. Should not include audio

 d. Cannot include embedded text or image information

7. The ABiS staff and the Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th will select the top 10 submissions in a pre-selection process, and applicants will be notified of the selection results on or about Friday, July 4.

8. The 10 selected entries will be screened at a luncheon seminar on Friday, July 18, after projection and a one-minute presentation by the applicants, and the audience will vote for the winners. The winners in each category will be announced and presented with awards at the Awards Ceremony at the Luncheon Seminar.

9. The results of the competition may be announced on the websites of ABiS, the Japanese Society of Developmental Biologists, the Japanese Society for Cell Biology, and the Joint Meeting of JSCB 77th and JSDB 58th, as well as through mailing lists and other media.

10. Submitted images and videos may be used for non-profit activities of ABiS, the Japanese Society of Developmental Biologists and the Japanese Society for Cell Biology, either as is or after processing. In such cases, an acknowledgment will be provided with the name and affiliation of the submitter.

11. Submission of images and videos is considered acceptance of the above rules.
